Vigilis Lda and Vigilis Tree Shelters Ltd are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our products and operations. Our environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001:2015 by an accredited certification body.
Our products
Tree protection has historically relied on non-recoverable plastic that fragments in the soil. Vigilis was founded to change that. We design and manufacture protection products that are either:
- soil-biodegradable, so they break down naturally at the end of their working life; or
- fully recyclable, so they can be collected and returned to the supply chain.
Product circularity is the central environmental commitment of our business.
Our operations
We are committed to:
- complying with all applicable environmental legislation in the jurisdictions in which we operate;
- preventing pollution and minimising waste, energy and water consumption at our manufacturing facilities;
- prioritising suppliers and freight partners who demonstrate measurable environmental performance;
- monitoring environmental performance through measurable objectives, reviewed at management level;
- continually improving our environmental management system in line with ISO 14001.
Communication
This policy is communicated to all employees, made available to suppliers and customers on request, and published openly on our website.
Responsibility and review
This policy is approved by the Board of Vigilis Lda. It is reviewed annually and updated as required.
